IEEE NPSS VIT chapter joins the league of other prominent professional student chapter
functioning at a university campus. Mission of IEEE NPSS is to advance nuclear and plasma
sciences to transform the energy scenario. As a part of the mission, an exotic quiz competition
‘Nuclear and Plasma Component Quiz’ was conducted during internationally-renowned
technical fest GraVITas of VIT University. The competition was conducted on the second day
of the three-day fest from 10:00 AM to 04:30 PM, in Technology Tower, VIT University.
Over 80 students divided into teams, participated in the competition with immense enthusiasm. Members of the chapter actively conducted the event comprising of three rounds.
Round 1 is completely a general quiz-based round which is a written exam, conducted in the morning session. 7 teams qualified for next round. In the afternoon session; Round 2, an exciting picture quiz and Round 3, in which clues were given for various electronic components and asked their names were actively conducted by the members of the chapter. Three winners were decided based on their total marks in all the rounds. The winners were awarded with gift-vouchers and participation certificates in the closing ceremony of GraVITas’15.
